Karen Baker is the founder and Owner/CEO of KC Baker & Associates, a company that focuses on continuously increasing the financial literacy of its clients by teaching a variety of wealth-building strategies. She is a financial advisor, trainer, and business professional with over two decades of experience.

Ms. Baker holds certifications from several organizations, including but not limited to the National Financial Educators Council, as a Certified Financial Education Instructor, and First Financial Security (FFS) as a Certified Business Leader. She has been designated as a National Trainer and a National Financial Educational Speaker by various other groups. She also is registered as an Independent Insurance broker.
Ms. Baker has been recognized for her work by the business and financial services industries with a series of prestigious awards and activities. These include the FFS Rising Star Award, the FFS Success Society Membership Award, and the Prince George’s County Chamber of Commerce Excellence In Business Award. She has served as Ambassador for the Prince George’s County Chamber of Commerce for ten years, and she has published business and financial articles each quarter during that time in its quarterly “It’s Your Business Magazine.”
Ms. Baker is a graduate of Howard University. She grew up in New Jersey originally but remained to live and work in the Washington DC Metropolitan area after graduating from Howard University. She is the mother of two amazing young women, and her personal mission is to continue to teach in areas related to increased financial literacy, and ongoing financial wellness.
